Resolve receives results for Shoot Out property
Mr. David Baker reports
Resolve Ventures has received results of prospecting work carried out by project operator, Golden Valley Mines, on the East Shoot Out property located in the Raglan district, Northern Quebec.
An AeroTEM airborne magnetic and electromagnetic survey was completed late in the field season and followed up with prospecting and sampling. Purpose of the sampling was to relocate historical mineral occurrences, gather information on the style and nature of sulphide mineralization, identify the extent of the known mineralized zones and to attempt to identify the source of several airborne anomalies identified in the new 2003 survey. A total of nine samples were selected from two areas. Results confirmed the presence of nickel (Ni), copper (Cu) and platinum group minerals (PGM).
The mineralized zone comprises scattered outcrops of ultramafic rocks which contain 5 to 10 per cent disseminated pyrrhotite and 1 to 2 per cent chalcopyrite. A series of hand trenches were noted along a strike length of approximately 400 metres. A total of nine samples were collected. Eight samples returned anomalous platinum group metal values ranging between 0.4 and 4.15 grams per tonne platinum group elements. Two samples returned nickel values ranging between 0.37 per cent and 0.45 per cent and two samples returned copper values over 0.50 per cent (0.51 per cent and 0.52 per cent).
Based on the fact that there is no historic record of follow-up work and the fact that the mineralization is associated with an area of elevated magnetic and conductivity response, the company plans to carry out an extensive program of ground geophysics and drill testing during 2004.
Todd Keast, PGeo, was the qualified person responsible for the field exploration.
